Accessibility Statement

Huddleston Jewelry is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe our customers should be able to browse our collections, learn about our services, and reach us regardless of how they access the web.
Conformance status
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines are the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and are the benchmark referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Current status: partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means that most parts of the site meet the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard, but some content does not yet fully conform. We describe the known exceptions below rather than claim a level of conformance we have not verified.
What we have done
On 11 August 2026 we completed a full accessibility audit of this website and remediated the issues it identified. That work included:
- Restoring a clearly visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element, so people navigating by keyboard can always see where they are.
- Correcting text and button colour contrast so text meets the 4.5:1 minimum ratio required at Level AA.
- Adding proper labels to every form field, including the contact and login forms.
- Adding descriptive alternative text to images that convey information, and correctly marking decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Giving every link and button an accessible name, including icon-only social media links.
- Adding a "Skip to main content" link and proper page landmarks and headings.
- Making dialog windows operable and dismissible by keyboard.
- Ensuring error and status messages are announced by assistive technology.
- Honouring the operating-system "reduce motion" setting for users sensitive to animation.
Known limitations
We want to be straightforward about the areas where we do not yet fully conform:
- Online product catalogue
- Our product catalogue is provided through a third-party service (JewelerShowcase) embedded on our Products page. We do not control that provider's code and cannot correct its accessibility ourselves. We have raised this with the vendor. In the meantime, our full inventory is available by phone, by email, or in person, and we will gladly describe any item or provide information in an alternate format — see "Contact us" below.
- Security check (CAPTCHA) on the contact form
- Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. It offers an audio alternative to the visual challenge, but some users still find CAPTCHAs difficult. If it prevents you from reaching us, please call or email us directly using the details below — we will never require you to complete a CAPTCHA to do business with us.
- Older photographs and documents
- Some archival images may have brief alternative text. If you encounter an image whose description is insufficient, tell us and we will improve it.
Contact us — we want to hear about barriers
If any part of this website prevents you from finding what you need, please tell us. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and will work with you to give you the information or service you were seeking.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to describe our plan for addressing the issue at that time. If you need information from this site urgently and cannot access it, contact us and we will provide it to you directly in a format that works for you, at no charge.
Assessment approach
The accessibility of this website was evaluated on 11 August 2026 by Websites By Daniel LLC using a combination of:
- Automated testing of page structure against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria.
- Programmatic colour-contrast measurement of every foreground/background pairing in the site's stylesheets.
- Manual review of source markup for form labelling, heading structure, landmark regions, link and button naming, and keyboard operability.
A detailed record of the findings, the specific success criteria involved, and the remediation applied is published openly in our Accessibility Remediation Report.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review this site's accessibility on an ongoing basis, re-test after significant content or design changes, and update this statement when our conformance status changes. This statement will be reviewed at least annually.
Formal complaints
If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, please let us know so we can escalate it internally. We would much rather resolve your concern directly and promptly.
